Compatibilidad con RoHS

Directive 2011/ 65/ EU (“RoHS Directive”)

The purpose of the RoHS Directive is to restrict the use of hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment.

The RoHS Directive prohibits the placing on the EU market of new electrical and electronic equipment containing more than the agreed levels of the following substances:

  • Lead (0.1 %)
  • Cadmium (0.01 %)
  • Mercury (0.1 %)
  • Hexavalent chromium (0.1 %)
  • Polybrominated biphenyl (PBB) (0.1 %)
  • Polybrominated diphenyl ether (PBDE) flame retardants (0.1 %)
  • Bis (2-ethylhexyl) phthalate (DEHP) (0.1 % added 2015)
  • Butyl benzyl phthalate (BBP) (0.1 % added 2015)
  • Dibutyl phthalate (DBP)  (0.1 % added 2015)
  • Diisobutyl phthalate (DIBP) (0.1 % added 2015)

All currently preferred products are compliant with the RoHS directive. Some legacy products are not compliant.

From 22nd July 2019 these non-compliant products are supplied within the EU only for use as part of excluded applications such as “large-scale stationary industrial tools” and “large-scale industrial installations”.

It is the responsibility of the user to ensure that the product is used in a way which complies with the law.
