A 500kW Drive Free Standing (DFS) from Control Techniques has enabled Rewinds & J. Windsor, a UK-based electric motor repair organisation, to significantly upgrade its testing capabilities. 

Rewinds & J. Windsor, based in Liverpool but with three sites across the UK, had suffered a breakdown with its 250kW test rig facility. The company was looking for an easy-to-use alternative that would allow it to expand its in-house capabilities and test bigger motors.

A 500kW DFS system, from Control Techniques, was the perfect solution. The pre-assembled, ready to install drive cubicle system, is designed for use in high power applications where energy saving and high ingress protection are essential.
