What’s new? To respond to the growing demand for variable speed motors used to drive vertical pumps in municipal and industrial applications, Nidec is now stocking a line of totally enclosed fan cooled CORRO-DUTY® Vertical HOLLOSHAFT® Inverter Duty Motors. In the past, this product offering was built-to-order, but can now be purchased off-the-shelf.
These U.S. MOTORS® brand motors are designed with full Class H insulating materials to withstand the steep-wave-front voltage impressed by the VFD waveform. They are designed to run smoother and cooler on inverter power supplies, which can lead to improved system efficiency and reliability. These cast iron motors are NEMA Premium® Efficient, and are available in 5-300 HP, with 2 & 4 Poles (3600 & 1800 RPM), and with frame sizes 184-449.
Attendees can also experience the TITAN® 5000 frame horizontal motor in augmented reality, see the newest high efficiency HVAC motors, and learn more about recent enhancements to FORECYTE™, the asset condition monitoring platform powered by Nidec.
