Compact, configurable VVVF or direct line control for escalators

The Motion 3000ES Escalator Control from MCE brings new technology and control sophistication to the escalator market. Available in VVVF Variable Speed or Wye/Delta Direct Line Control versions, the 3000ES is quality-engineered from concept to completion. VVVF models provide two-speed operation and allow the control to automatically select energy saving operating modes (reduced speed or stop) when traffic conditions warrant.

Motion 3000ES controls provide hardware flexibility. The standard configuration uses two (direct line) or three (VVVF drive) small cabinets; one for the primary electronics and top entrance; one for bottom entrance electronics; one for the VVVF drive if used. This distributed architecture simplifies connections and reduces wiring bulk.

Motion 3000ES is fully compliant with applicable North American, European and Australian safety standards. It utilizes independent, redundant safety string inputs, signal path, and processing to ensure safe, dependable operation.

Motion 3000ES uses a simple LED display and keypad for field programming of controller parameters. The VVVF drive is fully field programmable as well - whether the installation uses the TorqMax or Emerson CT drive. If you are installing multiple escalators, the CT features optional SmartCard technology allowing you to set up one drive, then easily transfer that same setup to other drives using a simple memory card.

Motion 3000ES uses dual control processors. Each processor will support up to four display cards. Display cards are connected along a CAN communications bus. CAN communication is light weight (three twisted, shielded conductors), fast, field-proven in many industrial applications, and provides power, as well as data, to the displays.
