On October 13 2016 Mesures, a French magazine dedicated to technological innovation, awarded Leroy-Somer’s new Energy Savings Advisor app with a “Palmares” prize in the “Energy Efficiency” category, as part of their 21st Technological Innovation Awards. 

Every year, the Mesures magazine organizes a Technology Award event for the best innovations and technologies released in the past year, which are classified into ten different categories. During the prestigious ceremony, the editorial team rewards the know-how of businesses supporting and transforming daily industrial manufacturing processes.

Leroy-Somer was selected as the 2016 winner in the “Energy efficiency” category, thanks to its new Energy Savings Advisor app. 

Released at the end of 2015, the Energy Savings Advisor app can be used to estimate and quickly assess the potential savings on a motorized application by implementing our high-efficiency drive solutions, including fixed or variable speed and using either induction or permanent magnet synchronous technology.

This easy and intuitive digital tool is based on a sophisticated simulation model, which is the result of Leroy-Somer’s expertise in energy efficiency drive systems. Available in ten languages and optimized for the majority of mobile devices such as smartphones and tablets, the Energy Savings Advisor can be downloaded free of charge from the website.

“Mesures has given us a great honor by granting this award for our digital app” stated Pierre Makinsky, Leroy-Somer Strategic Planner, who was presented the award by the magazine’s managing editor Pascal Coutance.

“This recognition demonstrates the particularly innovative nature of the Energy Savings Advisor and highlights the efforts conducted by Leroy-Somer for many years to develop the most efficient solutions available on the market in terms of energy savings. It further reinforces our determination to increasingly innovate in order to offer more value and service to our customers”.

The Unidrive M drive range also won the “Special Mention” prize in the “Automation” category at the same event in 2013.
