Tour Details
The Kato Engineering Plant Tour and Demonstrations will take place at our headquarters located in Mankato just 10-15 minutes away from where GenSchool is taking place. Transportation to and from the tour will be provided. For both safety and security reasons due to our work in the defense industry, the following policies will be enforced during the tour:
- Pants and close-toed shoes must be worn. Please plan accordingly.
- Due to our work in the defense industry, both employee and visitor cell phones are not allowed in the manufacturing area for security reasons. Upon arrival at Kato Engineering, your tour leader will collect your group's cell phones (groups of about 10 or so) and store them in a secured location. Phones will be re-distributed to the group by your tour leader after leaving the manufacturing area. If you need to be able to be contacted during this tour, please let us know ahead of time and we will make accommodations accordingly where you can be contacted in other ways during the plant tour.
- This year we will be using an audio transmission system where you will be given new, clean over-the-ear headphones in order to better hear your tour group leader. You are welcome to bring your own headphones instead if you like.
