Overview

The role of the Field Service Engineer is to increase sales revenue and opportunities for Control Techniques team and is the primary technical support resource for our customers, partners and outside sales team in the area.
Is responsible for working collaboratively with the outside sales team as both a commercial advisor and product advocate.
To apply field service site assistance on CT products, to support and apply existing maintenance contract services, to work strongly with our customer and our Installed Base & Service Sales Team in order to increase the number of service opportunities.

The successful candidate’s main responsibilities will include:

  • At all time ensure and provide high quality professional services to the customers with installation and maintenance.
  • Lead in investigation and responsible for resolution of customer complaints and reported problems.
    Make troubleshooting of the problem, provide and/or recommend solutions to these complaints. Will be in contact with Product & Application team.
  • Provide remote (phone, modem and internet) technical support assistance.
  • Provide on-Site services for resolution of problems or scheduled visit within EMA countries when required by management.
  • Conduct instrumentation training courses for Operation and Maintenance personnel, at customer site and off-site when required.
  • Become as knowledgeable as possible on Nidec product, participating in training programs, and through individual effort and initiative.
  • Could provide check and repair activities of products.

Travel Requirements:

Areas: travel mostly within assigned region in Italy and or Europe
Frequency: regularly over 70% of working time

Qualifications, Experience and Profile:

  • Technical Certificate (Mechanic or Electric).
  • At least 7 years of experience in similar position; experience in using technical equipment and tools.
  • A good command of technical English (written and spoken) is essential.
