
Role Summary
Location: Unit 79, Newtown, Powys, UK
We have exciting opportunities available for individuals to join Nidec Drives as a Production Operative.
In this role the successful candidate will work as effectively as possible, ensuring high levels of performance consistently, achieving daily build plans to the highest quality.
This role is pivotal to driving DPMO targets and taking personal responsibility for Quality Assurance.

The responsibilities for this role include but are not limited to:
- Operational Duties & Performance: Carry out daily plans, raising any issue to the Team Leader when they arise.
- 5S and Continuous Improvement: Embrace 5S processes and contribute to continuous improvement.
- Team Building: To work as a member of the team in resolving issues and achieving min. 80% skill level.
- Personal Development: Identify areas for personal development, ensuring alignment to current & future needs of the business & personal development needs demonstrating personal growth.
- Integrate honesty, sincerity, and care into daily working life.
- Comply with health and safety policy and procedures, for yourself & others, whilst at work.
- All PPE must be properly used, maintained, and replaced when appropriate.
- To actively participate in daily team briefs and ownership of departmental measures.
Shift Patterns Available:
5x positions:
Monday – Thursday: 6 am to 6 p.m.
(46 Hours per week)
3x positions:
Monday – Thursday: 6 am to 2.30 p.m.
Friday: 6 am to 1.30 p.m.
(39 Hours per week)
2x positions:
Monday – Thursday: 8 am to 4.30 p.m.
Friday: 8 am to 3.30 p.m.
