Role Summary

Location: Newtown, Powys, UK

An exciting opportunity awaits to be part of the Nidec Drives Global Marketing team as a Communications Officer (Job-share).

To be responsible for shaping and delivering high-quality, creative content across all channels, as befits our target audience. Providing essential communication services such as media relations, digital, social media, internal communications, video production, branding and design, comms planning, content creation, and evaluation. 

Some of the main responsibilities and duties of this role are:

• The role is responsible for the tone of voice ensuring that all communications reflect the brand standard.
• To facilitate opportunities for communication content to be placed in front of appropriate audiences.
• To facilitate and manage communication methods via social media channels for internal employees.
• Have a proactive approach to researching the latest trends and industry topics to write about.
• Manage the content creation for internal company magazines.
• Select and manage contact with external service providers.
• Manage the distribution of press releases and other communications with relevant publications to maximise audience engagement. 
• Monitor, measure, and report on the effectiveness of communication activity.
• Responsible for facilitating the production of all written marketing content including, but not limited to, case studies, brochures, web copy, white papers, press articles, internal magazines, and social media content. 

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Experience in a similar Communications Officer based role (is desirable but not essential), where you are able to demonstrate your writing capabilities
• Fluent in English 
• A flair for writing in both technical and non-technical spaces
• An understanding of engineering would be an advantage
• GCSE or equivalent English, Grade C or above
• Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
• Proven experience in content creation and delivery
