ST. LOUIS – Oct. 24, 2019 –
Nidec Motor Corporation (NMC) is launching new TITAN® horizontal totally enclosed fan cooled (TEFC) motors that are available in 6800, 7000 and IEC 450 frame sizes.
U.S. MOTORS® brand TITAN 6800/7000/450 frame motors, available with an industry-leading, self-contained sleeve bearing system, are being manufactured and assembled in Nidec’s ISO 9001-certified Mena, Arkansas facility. These motors have increased TITAN TEFC horizontal motors’ horsepower range from 1000 to 2000 HP to meet the growing industry demands. In addition, each frame size is tri-drilled for the rated frame size and two frames smaller. With this introduction, Nidec is providing customers with an unrivaled variety of heavy-duty motor solutions for new and existing installations.
“This new line of TITAN motors is available in three different frame lengths and in three different shaft heights resulting in 6811, 6809, 6808, 7010, 7008, 7007, 450BCD, 450LAB & 450MLA frame sizes,” said Nidec Director of Marketing and Product Management Tim Albers. “Our distributors will be able to offer a motor that will increase their end users’ ease for field matching of existing motors needing replaced.”
TITAN TEFC motors are suited for use in hostile environments with pumps, compressors, fans, blowers and conveyors, and in applications such as the petrochemical, pulp and paper wastewater, electric power, steel, forestry, cement and mining industries. The enclosures have cast-iron frames, bearing caps and end shields for durability and reliability. All TITAN TEFC motors are designed to operate at 40°C ambient temperature and at a maximum altitude of 3,300 feet above sea level.
