Working at Nidec Drives feels like being part of a global family. We focus on our customers, making sure we meet their needs for variable speed drives. Our Control Techniques products are all about solving drive application challenges. We’re passionate about drives, and we truly enjoy what we do.
Just over two years ago, we set up the Benelux organisation. Our aim was to be as efficient as possible. By combining our teams and aligning our goals, we’ve managed to bring out the best in our organisation. We’ve seen fantastic growth and continue to expand as a team.
Nidec Drives encourages employees to grow and progress. In Benelux, we offer thorough training for every new team member. This ensures everyone starts with a solid understanding of our company, the drives we create, how they’re made, and where they’re used. We want our colleagues to advance in their careers, and we support their growth with training through professional education centres.
My journey with Nidec Drives began over 25 years ago when I started as an apprentice. After completing my training, I joined the Inside Sales Team. When a management position opened up, I put myself forward and was fortunate to get the role. This position laid the foundation for my next step as Business Unit Leader (BU) at Leroy-Somer, a sister company of Nidec Drives.
As a BU Leader, I was responsible for developing and implementing strategic business plans to ensure growth and sustainability. I managed financial performance and led, motivated, and developed my team to achieve high performance and meet organizational goals. Eventually, I returned to Control Techniques (as it was then) as Business Unit Leader for the Benelux region, continuing my journey of personal and professional growth.
My journey with Nidec Drives began a little over ten years ago as an Outside Sales Engineer, where I managed sales activities for assigned customers and distributors. A few years later, when the Benelux region was established, I teamed up with Bastiaan to become the Sales Director for the Benelux team.
Throughout my time here, I have continually invested my energy into the company, driven by a desire to grow and adapt within a changing industry. With a focus on sustainability, our drives help customers optimize energy usage, reduce consumption, and support greener initiatives. I’m excited about the limitless potential of Nidec Drives and am committed to contributing to a sustainable future for all.
