Nidec recognised with highest rating [A] in CDP 2024 climate change
The CDP (formerly Carbon Disclosure Project), a global environmental non-profit organisation, has recognised Nidec Corporation on its prestigious 2024 climate change A list.
As a company that operates globally, the NIDEC Group has positioned “contributing to a sustainable global environment” as one of its key sustainability issues, and aims to achieve net zero CO2 emissions from its business activities by FY2040 and net zero CO2 emissions including its supply chain by FY2050.
Nidec’s mission is to "contribute to the earth with the world's most powerful motors." Nidec will continue to help achieve a global carbon-neutral society with its technologies and solutions. CDP is a not-for-profit charity that operates a global environmental disclosure system for companies and local governments. In 2024, over 24,800 companies responded worldwide, representing two-thirds of global market capitalisation.
The rating system is a 8-rank scale (A, A-, B, B-, C, C-, D, D-).
