A powerful MCi second processor onboard the Digitax M754 servo drive brings a whole host of machine design opportunities.

The onboard MCi processor executes comprehensive programs that can control multiple drives and motors simultaneously across real-time networks

Onboard Ethernet using RTMoE (Real Time Motion over Ethernet) provides synchronization and communication between drives using the Precision Time Protocol (PTP) as defined by IEEE1588 V2 

Simple integration with external components such as Remote I/O, HMIs and PLCs can be achieved with Modbus TCP/IP on the integrated 2-port standard Ethernet switch.

    Powerful MCi second processor for decentralised motion applications

    • Runs application programs up to four time faster than a standard PLC
    • Integrates with the onboard AMC (Advanced Motion Controller) to carry out motion functions at the drive’s 250 μs cycle time
    • Can coordinate multiple drives over the Ethernet network, providing perfectly synchronised multi-axis machine performance
    • Programs are fast and easy to develop thanks to the user-friendly Machine Control Studio software which uses industry standard IEC61131-3 programming languages

    Minimum size
    • 40 mm drive width – 25 drives (up to 16A each) can fit in just 1 meter of cabinet space  
    • Bring space reduction to the same level with complete standalone capability, removing the need for an external controller
    • Reduce cabinet height by directly stacking rows of drives. Patented Ultraflow™ technology expels heat directly outside of the cabinet through the rear of the drive (drive heat dissipation can also be achieved via vents on the top of the drive, as standard).

    System Integration Modules - Communications

The protocol is based upon standard Ethernet and provides a solution for real-time Industrial Ethernet to satisfy the requirements of industrial automation and process control.

    SI-Profibus Communication System Integration Modules


    SI-PROFIBUS interface module enables follower connectivity. It is possible to use multiple SI-PROFIBUS modules or a combination of SI-PROFIBUS and other option module types to add additional functionality such as extended I/O, gateway functionality or additional PLC features.

    KI Compact Display Option module for servo drive

    KI-Compact Display

    The display (fitted on M753 & M750, optional on M751) ensures access to drive diagnostics even in the absence of network connectivity. Includes 2 rotary switches for hardware setting of the node address for faster commissioning of the motion network.


    KI-Compact 485 Adaptor

    This allows the drive to communicate via RS485. This is commonly used for programming if the drive has no keypad.


    Remote Keypad RTC

    The keypad is remote mountable, allowing flexible mounting on the outside of a panel (meets IP54/NEMA 12). Three line plain text, multi-language LCD keypad for rapid set-up and helpful diagnostics. Battery operated real-time clock allows accurate time stamping of events, aiding diagnostics.
