Nidec at IPPE – Serving Up Reliable, Efficient Motors for the Food Processing Industry

ST. LOUIS – Jan. 19, 2024 – Nidec Motor Corporation, with its flagship U.S. MOTORS® brand, is pleased to present its full line of electric motors designed for animal-based food production and processing at the IPPE (International Production & Processing Expo) in Atlanta, Jan. 31- Feb. 1, 2024. Nidec design engineers and agricultural market managers will be on hand to walk visitors through the various motors and integrated motor and drive solutions for this industry.
The Nidec/U.S. MOTORS line includes models to meet specific needs such as energy efficiency, precise airflow for fans and blowers, large diameter fans, severe environments, exhaust fans for poultry and livestock houses, and painted washdown models.
Nidec recently increased its production capacity for farm duty motors in order to meet growing demand in this sector. This investment means larger inventory in stock to more efficiently respond to customer needs.
Nidec will feature the following motors at IPPE:
ID300 FusionTM Integrated Motor/Drive – A high-performance drive solution for ventilation applications requiring variable speed of 1HP to 10 HP drivers. All the functions of a variable speed drive are incorporated into the motor; simply wire up the motor, connect communication cables and sensors, and configure the ID300 for the application. The drive can be pre-programed to OEM specifications to respond to pressure and flow sensors, external control signals and turn on/off external relays as desired.
World MotorTM – Various models featuring high efficiency and precise airflow for fans and blowers. Includes HOSTILE DUTY™ , CORRO-DUTY® , 841 PLUS® with Inverter Duty. Built to withstand a variety of severe duty applications. Includes wide range of NEMA & IEC frame sizes.
Direct Drive Fan Motor - For large diameter fans used in agricultural applications. Features highly efficient BPM motor technology, high torque. Low RPM fan produces high CFM per watt. A variable speed feature provides year-round whole house (hog or poultry house) efficiency.
Auger Duty Motor - Single phase, totally enclosed fan-cooled. Hand crank extension for 1/2 HP and above. Manual reset thermal overload protector, reversible.
Agri Duty Fan Motor – Ideal for exhaust fans in poultry and livestock houses, offering continuous air over duty, and auto reset thermal overload protector. Available in single- and three-phase.
Painted Washdown Motor - Three phase, totally enclosed fan cooled. Used in food processing, dairies, canning, meat packing. Features inverter grade insulation system and rust inhibitor on rotor. USDA approved non-toxic white epoxy paint.
