TITAN Motors

U.S. MOTORS brand TITAN® motors are widely recognized in the mining industry for their longevity, dependability and ease of use. Many of our TITAN motors are designed with robust cast-iron construction to minimize internal stresses and vibration. The TITAN Weather Protected Type – WPI and WPII enclosures are excellent choices for indoor or outdoor use. They are cost-effective and efficient.

Nidec Motor Corporation's team of engineers has applied more than 100 years of motor expertise and its Motor Technology Center’s cutting-edge laboratories to design and test each U.S. MOTORS brand TITAN motor with a Weather Protected Type II enclosure. To ensure motor reliability, long life and superior performance, TITAN motors with WPII enclosures come standard with solid features that make these motors able to withstand the rigors of outdoor industrial use.

TITAN motors with WPII enclosures are ideal for wet, corrosive and contaminated environments. These tough-yet-quiet motors are best suited for use with pumps, compressors, fans and blowers commonly used in such heavy industries as oil and gas, chemicals, pulp and paper, wastewater, electric power and mining. ACCU-Torq

Encoder-equipped ACCU-Torq® motors are an error-free solution to applications requiring accurate positioning or precise speed control without the rapid acceleration dynamics of a servomotor. ACCU-Torq is designed to be used with inverters and vector drives in applications requiring up to a 2000:1 constant torque speed range.

ACCU-Torq TEBC motors are used in variable frequency drive applications requiring full-rated torque at zero speed utilizing closed- or open-loop (sensorless vector) controls. The cast-iron construction makes this motor an ideal choice for process lines, chemical plants, paper mills, mining or any other severe duty environment.

CORRO-DUTY

U.S. MOTORS brand CORRO-DUTY® motors are considered one of the toughest – built to withstand a variety of severe duty applications. These motors are rated Class B rise at 1.0 service factor and Class F rise at 1.15 service factor with full Class F or better insulating materials.

The CORRO-DUTY motor has an all cast-iron frame, conduit box, fan cover, bearing caps and end shields. These features, along with paint and oxide primer, help protect the motor from external damage in corrosive and harsh environments. Internal protection helps extend the thermal and mechanical life of the motor and includes:

• Oxide primer coating on bracket and frame surfaces
• Non-hygroscopic epoxy varnish on the rotor core
• Additional coating of varnish on the stator with Class F insulation materials
• Non-braided, no-wicking leads with a compression type ground lug in the conduit box
• Re-greasable bearings with a standard of L-10 bearing life of 30,000 hours or more based on NEMA belting loads
