ST. LOUIS, MO – June 27, 2025 – Nidec/U.S. MOTORS® is proud to introduce to the electrical industry a new high-efficiency electronically commutated motor (ECM). The new PrecisionFlow™ motor delivers up to 85% efficiency, an improvement of up to 30% over traditional permanent split capacitor (PSC) motors. This innovative product will debut at EASA 2025, the premier networking and education event for the electrical industry, taking place July 20–22 in Nashville.

In addition to the PrecisionFlow™ motor, Nidec will showcase a range of high-efficiency U.S. MOTORS® integrated electric motors and controls. These factory-calibrated systems are designed for quick and easy installation, making them ideal drop-in replacements. The company will also highlight its extensive inventory of in-stock, ready-to-install motors, including the iconic vertical HOLLOSHAFT® motor.

A key announcement at the event will be the expanded overload capacity of 1.25 Service Factor (SF) that is now available on key motor models. The SF of an electric motor indicates how much overload it can handle beyond its rated horsepower (HP) under normal conditions. In this case, the motors can safely handle up to 25 percent more load during peak demand. This rating applies to U.S. MOTORS/World Motor® brand 2-, 4-, and 6-pole HOSTILE DUTY® and CORRO-DUTY® 230/460V and 460V models up to 100 HP.

“We’ve evaluated our current product offerings and are pleased to announce this 1.25 Service Factor capability,” said Christy Townsley, senior market manager for Nidec / U.S. MOTORS. “I believe it’s a testament to our high quality and engineering standards that many of our motors required no change to meet this higher service factor rating.”

EASA attendees will also have the opportunity to explore additional offerings from the U.S. MOTORS® brand, including the RESCUE® line of replacement motors for HVACR applications.

Nidec’s Tim Albers takes the stage at the EASA Convention & Solutions Expo, speaking on behalf of NEMA regarding changes to NEMA Standards and IEC Harmonization. His presentation takes place on July 20 at 11 a.m.
