Electric motor manufacturer to relocate St. Louis offices over the coming year
ST. LOUIS, MO –November 11, 2025 – Nidec, a manufacturer of electric motors and drives used in numerous industries, has plans underway to relocate its 400-plus St. Louis employees to newly renovated space at three different locations in the region. Two locations for Nidec’s Appliance, Commercial and Industrial Motors business unit are near Westport Plaza; one will feature new motor testing labs and the other is office space. The third property is offices for Nidec Motion & Energy and is located in Creve Coeur.
“This move brings numerous advantages including the ability to expand our testing labs and scale up our R&D capabilities even further. We’ll also be in more modern facilities that are better suited for the needs of our workforce today, ultimately allowing us to further enhance our motor and control solutions to the many industries we serve,” said Tim Schamel, Deputy President, Nidec Commercial Industrial Motors.
