ST. LOUIS, MO –October 27 XX, 2025 – Nidec U.S. MOTORS has expanded its line of TITAN® motor products, offering two new weather protected vertical frame sizes as well as introducing a new totally enclosed fan-cooled 2-pole extension. Quick turnaround is available on the new models due to a new approach to manufacturing the frames. TITAN motors are designed for applications in water/wastewater, petroleum, chemicals, and electric power.

The new Weather Protected I (WPI) and Weather Protected II (WPII) 6810 and 6811 frame vertical motors are available in both HOLLOSHAFT^® and solid shaft constructions. While keeping the high thrust capability of its legacy U.S. MOTORS^® brand TITAN I 6800 frame vertical motors, the two new frames also offer a dedicated normal thrust design with grease lubricated ball bearings.

Nidec’s new Totally Enclosed Fan Cooled (TEFC) 6800/7000/450 frame horizontal 2-pole motor is available in both antifriction ball bearing and RENK^® sleeve bearing.

The new 6800 vertical motor frames are produced using cast iron instead of fabricated steel, enabling the winding and frame assembly processes to occur simultaneously rather than sequentially. This capability shortens production time and facilitates quicker delivery to customers. Additionally, the TITAN II 6800 frame features a new size 3.5 cast iron main conduit box with a volume of 6,440 cubic inches, along with optional internal shaft ground ring and/or brush mounting on the lower bearing cap.

The TITAN 6800/7000/450 frame horizontal motor offering has increased the U.S. MOTORS® brand max 2-pole horsepower from 800HP to 1100HP. This new line of TITAN TEFC 2-pole motors is available in two different frame lengths and three different shaft heights resulting in 6808, 6809, 7007, 7008, 450ALM and 450BAL frame sizes. Each frame size is tri-drilled for the rated frame size and two frames smaller for ease of field matching of existing motors needing replaced.
