Founder, Shigenobu Nagamori, seeks to reward innovation in motor-related technologies

Nidec Corporation (NYSE:NJ) has announced the creation of the Nagamori Awards to commend entry to middle-level R&D engineers who demonstrate innovative, documented development of motors, actuators, power generators and associated technologies.

Applicants must be entry to middle-level Research and Development engineers who are members of a university, public organization, or private company located anywhere in the world.  An applicant must be recommended for the Award by their academic circle or their company supervisor.  The application period closes on January 31, 2015.

The Nagamori Award, which is a monetary reward,  will be granted to 3-5 people annually.  The Grand Nagamori Award recipient will be announced at the commendation ceremony scheduled for August 30, 2015 in Kyoto, Japan.
